GLL butterfly wing nut

Traditional nuts rely on tools for tightening, which is inefficient and poses safety hazards in narrow or high-altitude operations. Our GLL butterfly wing nut adopts a streamlined double-wing design. The ergonomic curved wing can fit the palm perfectly, and the operator can complete the tightening or removal with one hand without additional tools.
The below two points are our GLL butterfly nuts' characteristics:

1.Anti-slip texture: GLL butterfly nuts’ surface of the wing is laser-engraved with special anti-slip texture, it can accurately apply force even when wearing gloves to avoid slipping.

2.Rapid Installation: Testing has shown that the installation time for a single nut has been reduced to under 3 seconds, significantly minimizing the risks associated with high-altitude operations and enhancing construction efficiency.

Scaffolding needs to withstand dynamic loads and extreme environmental tests. GLL uses high-strength alloy steel (ASTM A572 Grade 50) as the base material, combined with heat treatment and quenching technology, so that the product has the following characteristics:
Tensile strength ≥ 620MPa, which is 1.8 times that of ordinary carbon steel nuts, and can withstand accidental impact and heavy load pressure.
Precision thread processing: CNC lathe is used to ensure that the thread tolerance is ≤ 0.05mm, which is more tightly engaged with the scaffolding pipe fittings and eliminates the risk of loosening.
GLL provides dual protection solutions for humid, salt spray or chemical corrosion environments:

Hot-dip galvanized layer: thickness up to 80μm, passed 720 hours neutral salt spray test (NSS), suitable for coastal or industrial pollution areas.

Dacromet coating: no risk of hydrogen embrittlement, temperature resistance range -50℃ to 300℃, meet the needs of polar or high temperature operations.

Laboratory data show that the corrosion rate of GLL nuts is reduced by 67% among similar products, and the service life is extended by more than 3 times.
FAQ

Q1: What thread specifications are suitable for this nut?
A: This nut is compatible with a variety of thread sizes and can meet more than 90% of scaffolding application requirements.

Q2: Does it need to be used with washers?
A: It is recommended to use spring washers (DIN127) or flat washers (DIN125) to enhance the anti-loosening performance.

Q3: How is the corrosion resistance?
A: GLL Dacromet coated version can withstand acid and alkali environments and pass the ASTM B117 salt spray test.

Q4: Will one-handed operation affect the tightening force?
A: After testing, the manual tightening torque can reach 40N·m, which meets the scaffolding safety specifications (EN 12810).
